Installation note: When you click on the download link, a yellow bar will appear across the page saying something along the lines of "Firefox prevented this site from installing software." It's a security precaution - if you edit your options and "allow" ginatrapani.org to install the extension, it should work. Be sure to restart Firefox to see it in your context menu.

About:

Text Area Word Counter is a Firefox extension by Gina Trapani which will give you the total number of words not including HTML entered into all the text areas in a document. Target audience is webloggers interested in post word count.

How to use:

Once the extension is installed you will have to restart Firefox. Go to a web form, and enter text. Then, in the right-click context menu, choose "Count words in textareas." The total number of words will be displayed
